An inno­vator in the vir­tual goods market, viximo needed a logo revamp. Early on in the process the deci­sion was made to focus on a type treat­ment, and I chose to create the type from scratch. I’m fairly happy with the final logo, but I like the orig­inal direc­tion quite a bit more. Below is the orig­inal type treat­ment, with the wire­frame that shows the construction.

Unfortunately, as the process moved long, some of the ‘unique­ness’ was removed from the type. The final logo is actu­ally the third round. The second round is below. It keeps some of that con­nected ‘gift’ idea, but still loses something.

    Very tal­ented work Ira, didn’t rec­og­nize your work till I looked at this and the two i’s x together like people meeting is pretty con­cep­tual. But I have to say read­ability on the 3rd round came out better. I did dig the orig­i­nality of the type though.
