A couple months ago, I completed a logo for a new company called Daily Grommet. They’re an interesting company, in that it’s a bit of a new way of getting the word out about interesting products. They feature one item a day with a video and some personal commentary. Though I don’t quite fall into their demographic — hip moms — they still feature some quite nice things. Definitely a good place to check out if you’re looking for gift ideas.

We decided to design the business cards as the centerpiece of system, so I pulled out the stopps. It’s a letterpress on one side, with a custom pattern that I designed. The information is applied by way of a printed sticker.
During the logo process, we developed a handful of directions. The winner is up top, but check out a few alternates below, of which I have a particular fondness for the kangaroo. I’ll freely admit that the calendar idea isn’t the most original, but sometimes people just want literal, and with new clients it’s a bit of a “feeling out” process.

Done at Alphabet Arm Design.

This is probably one of my all time favorite brand identity projects. So beautiful!

Thanks so much Holly. I really appreciate it. I like the stuff that you’ve been doing for Second Glass/Wine Riot, and I’m glad that you’re doing well for yourself.
